Letter of Support: Don Sievert

I will vote for J. Scott Christianson in August. I first got to know him as a neighbor approximately 20 years ago. We have had many conversations through the years on a large variety of topics such as neighborhood, national, city and county issues. He has keen analytical powers, evident whenever he speaks or listens. His positions and proposals come from judicious reasoning.

He is experienced in the civic, political, university and business worlds. His goal is achieving the public good. He is adept at weighing the interests of various constituencies. In short, he is just what we want and need a presiding commissioner to be.

Please join me in voting for J. Scott Christianson in August. His performance on the job will warrant your support.

Letter of Support: Sarah Catlin-Dupuy

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to vote for J. Scott Christianson for Boone County presiding commissioner. J. Scott has been a family friend for nearly 10 years. In that time, I have come to know him as a practical, honest, forthright person. He is incredibly organized, he works well with people, and he remains calm in high-pressure situations. Boone County would be lucky to have him. Please join me in voting for him in the Aug. 3 primary.

Letter of Support: Sue Bliss

I first met Scott Christianson in the late ’90s, and later we served together on several service projects. His positive approach to problem solving was refreshing and inspiring.

As the 2010 census will confirm, Boone County is rapidly expanding. With this growth come increasingly complex issues and responsibilities that must be addressed. These issues have a large impact on county residents; they require the dedicated attention of a leader who has not only a great deal of foresight, but skills to creatively solve problems.

We need a presiding commissioner with a high level of professionalism, modern technology skills and youthful energy to meet the opportunities and challenges of a first-class county in the 21st century. Please join me in voting for Scott Christianson on August 3.

Letter of Support: Ted Boehm

In my 20 years of public service as sheriff of Boone County, I learned firsthand the importance of working cooperatively with the county’s public officials, who provide the many public services that preserve the quality of life we value so highly.

I also learned that a community’s reputation, so critical to economic growth, could easily be compromised. That is why I was always careful to balance the needs of our citizens and neighborhoods with those of our business community. And, yes, I learned that it is hard to satisfy every need with limited resources.

I know that Scott Christianson shares my views on these important issues. He has gained my respect as an individual who listens carefully to all sides of an issue, engages in a focused, civil discussion to understand them better and then makes a timely decision. These qualities, more than ever, are critical to good government.

I am confident that Scott supports the progressive public safety agenda for which Boone County is known and he will work hard to ensure that Boone County is an ideal place for our citizens to live, work and thrive.

We need exceptional and energetic leadership to maintain what we have and to lead us into the future we envision. Scott is a man who can deliver for all of us. Please join me in voting for Scott on Aug. 3rd.
